Match Report
Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid 4–3 in a very exciting match at the Allianz Arena. After 90 minutes of fast football with many goals, Bayern advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League. They won 6–4 on aggregate — that means the total score from both games.
First half
Real Madrid started very well and scored in just the 1st minute. This was a big surprise for the home fans. But Bayern were quick to respond. They scored in the 6th minute to make it 1–1.
Real Madrid took the lead again in the 29th minute to make it 2–1. Then Bayern got another goal in the 38th minute — 2–2. The game was very open, with both teams attacking. Madrid scored again just before half-time in the 42nd minute. Bayern went into the half-time break losing 2–3.
Second half
Bayern made a substitution at the start of the second half to try to change the game. Real Madrid received several yellow cards in the second half — this shows they were playing very aggressively and committing many fouls. Despite this, Bayern could not score for a long time.
In the 89th minute, Bayern finally scored to make it 3–3. The crowd were very excited. Then, in the 90th minute, Bayern scored again immediately to make it 4–3. It was a dramatic ending! Bayern had 67% of the ball during the game, showing they were the dominant team.
