⚽ Match Report: Galatasaray 5–2 Juventus

UEFA Champions League | 17 February 2026

Galatasaray produced a stunning performance at home tonight, beating Italian giants Juventus 5–2 in a thrilling Champions League encounter. It was an incredible night for the Turkish side, who dominated for large parts of the match and never looked back after drawing level in the second half.

The match started at a fast pace. Galatasaray took the lead in the 15th minute, but Juventus equalised almost immediately, just one minute later. The away side then turned the game around, scoring again in the 32nd minute to lead 2–1 at half-time. It looked like Juventus were in control.

However, Galatasaray came out strongly after the break. They drew level again in the 49th minute, making it 2–2. Then, just eleven minutes later, they scored a third to take the lead for the second time. The Turkish crowd were in full voice as their team began to pull away.

Galatasaray continued to press forward and were rewarded with a fourth goal in the 74th minute. There was still time for more, and a fifth goal arrived in the 86th minute to complete a remarkable comeback and a famous victory.

The statistics told the full story. Galatasaray had possession of the ball for 58% of the match and had 19 shots in total, with 8 on target. Juventus, by contrast, managed only 6 shots and just 2 on target. Juventus also gave away 20 fouls and received two yellow cards, showing their frustration as the game slipped away from them.

The second leg takes place on 25 February in Turin. Juventus will need a major improvement if they want to progress in the competition. For Galatasaray, it was a night to remember.
