PSG Beat Bayern to Make the Final Again

Updated: 14 hours ago

Paris Saint-Germain are going back to the Champions League final. The French champions drew 1–1 with Bayern Munich in Germany tonight, but they won the tie 6–5 on aggregate. PSG will now play Arsenal in the final in Budapest on 30 May.

PSG started the game very well. After only three minutes, Ousmane Dembélé scored the first goal. The French winger ran into the box and shot past the Bayern goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer. The PSG fans were very happy. The early goal made the game much more difficult for Bayern.

After the goal, Bayern tried to attack. Harry Kane and Michael Olise looked for chances, but the PSG defence was strong. The captain, Marquinhos, and his team-mate William Pacho played very well at the back. They stopped almost every Bayern attack. Désiré Doué also had two good chances for PSG, but Neuer made important saves.

In the second half, PSG were calm and patient. They kept the ball and waited. Bayern needed two goals to win, but they could not break through. The minutes were going by and the home fans were getting nervous. PSG looked comfortable and almost scored a second goal when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Doué tried to finish the tie.

In the last minute of injury time, Harry Kane finally scored for Bayern. It was his 14th Champions League goal of the season — an amazing record. But the goal came too late. The referee blew the whistle and PSG celebrated on the pitch.

It was a close match over the two legs (6–5 on aggregate), but PSG were better tonight. They defended well, scored early, and controlled the game. Now they have a chance to win the Champions League for the second year in a row.
